USF Faculty Jazztet
The USF Faculty Jazztet brings together five of Tampa’s finest musicians for an evening of inspired, straight-ahead jazz and soulful grooves.
Featuring Tom Brantley (trombone), Pablo Arencibia (piano), LaRue Nickelson (guitar), Dave Rudolph(drums), and Mark Neuenschwander (bass), this all-star ensemble delivers a dynamic program that celebrates the depth and rhythm of the jazz tradition.
The evening’s repertoire will include music by Thelonious Monk, selections inspired by the iconic New Orleans funk of The Meters , trombone classics associated with J.J. Johnson, beloved New Orleans standards, and other timeless jazz favorites.
From hard-swinging bebop to second-line grooves, the USF Faculty Jazztet promises an evening of virtuosity, interplay, and deep musical conversation. Join us for a night that honors the roots of jazz while showcasing the artistry of some of the region’s most accomplished performers.
